The story of the Străjerii Verzi begins a maximum of 3 hours away from Bucharest, in a village in Brașov County, a place with scattered houses on the tops of the hills, between Piatra Craiului and Bucegi, a place where time stands still and impresses on your retina the beauty of the place .
But Şirnea is not just a place, it is the first tourist village in Romania, taking this title in 1968 thanks to Nicolae Frunteș, a biology teacher at the school in the village who initiated an extensive campaign to promote the beauties of the place among foreign tourists.
An invitation to celebrate nature
We start our story right at the entrance to the Carpathian Gate, where we place our Green Guards, 4 A-frame type cabins, hidden from the eyes of the world, to share with you, those who step on our threshold, the beauty of the place from the comfort of our cozy cabins.
We wanted to preserve as much as possible the spectacle of nature also inside the cabins, so you will very quickly notice the all-wood decor and the windows on the front of the cabin that show you a spectacular view of the fir forest.
We want to create the perfect setting for those who want to celebrate moments of silence, peace and love with their loved ones, enjoy nature, create beautiful memories and feel the fresh air. We don’t have a TV, we think you already have the most beautiful TV program sitting on the sofa, in the warmth of the fireplace, looking out the window.

It’s not just about the places, it’s about what you take with you when you leave, what fond memory remains in your heart and soul. This is our philosophy and this is what we want to transmit from every pore to our tourists.
